Woman thanks good Samaritans who saved her from kidnapping
The traumatised woman was driving to work when fellow motorists rescued her from a stranger who tried to kidnap her.
A traumatised, yet grateful, Pretoria woman thanked the good Samaritans who saved her when an unknown man tried to yank her out of her vehicle on Friday morning.
“Random people whom I don’t know saved me,” Tracy told Rekord.
“I wish I could go back and just say thank you because these heroes, who didn’t have to do anything, came to my rescue. It was amazing.”
Tracy was driving to work along Simon Vermooten Drive, near the Ford Motor Company in the Waltloo area, when the unknown man yanked her car door open and shouted at her to get out and get into a nearby vehicle.
“He grabbed me by my hair and I was screaming. The next minute, people I don’t know, jumped out of their cars and pinned him down on the ground and disabled him so that I could get away,” she said.
Tracy said that she was grateful to the people who rescued her from a situation that could have ended badly.
“I would not have blamed them if they didn’t help me – I’m very grateful.”
A case has not been opened with the police.
