Mthethwa’s arrest followed the circulation of a viral video showing a woman standing over an injured man, who was lying on the ground after allegedly being shot by her with an assault rifle.

Mthethwa is in custody at Westville Correctional Centre.

She is scheduled to return to court on February 17 for her bail application.
