New Mercedes-AMG GLC: A legacy of performance

The new Mercedes-AMG GLC has arrived, setting new benchmarks in the luxury performance SUV segment.

The newly launched Mercedes-AMG GLC will be available in two performance and trim levels – GLC 43 4MATIC and GLC 63 S E Performance. It delivers more power, equipment, and driving pleasure than ever before.

GLC 43 4MATIC: A powerful performer

The entry-level GLC 43 4MATIC features a 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine with an electric exhaust gas turbocharger, producing 310kW and an additional 10kW boost from the belt-driven starter-generator. Combined with rear-axle steering, AMG Performance 4MATIC all-wheel drive, AMG Speedshift MCT 9G transmission, and AMG Ride Control suspension, the GLC 43 offers a dynamic and engaging driving experience.

GLC 63 S E Performance: A hybrid powerhouse

The GLC 63 S E Performance is a hybrid powertrain exclusive to Mercedes-AMG. It combines a 2.0-litre turbo engine with an electric drive unit on the rear axle for an exhilarating driving experience with high efficiency. The electric motor boosts power and torque, delivering a comfortable or performance-oriented drive, and even allows for electric-only mode.

Both models boast impressive technology and performance features. These include:

• Active rear-axle steering

Powerful and efficient engines

The heart of the new Mercedes-AMG GLC models is the AMG 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine, developed entirely in Affalterbach. This innovative engine features an electric exhaust gas turbocharger. This is similar to the technology used in Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 racing cars.
