Aston Martin Valhalla is 793kW of heavenly supercar
Billed as the ultimate driver’s supercar, Aston Martin has whipped the wraps off the Valhalla. Only 999 examples will be made.
With a firing order of 1-8-2-7-4-5-3-6, the Aston Martin Valhalla’s 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 produces 609kW and 857Nm of torque. However, equipped to the internal combustion (ICE) component of the mid-engined supercar’s 400V plug-in hybrid powertrain (a first for the firm) is a trio of electric motors — two sited at the front and one integrated into the car’s eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox, which is equipped with a electronic rear differential — producing a combined power output of 185kW.

Together, the combination of the ICE and electric motors provides a whopping 793kW and 1 100Nm. According to Aston Martin these figures allow the (all-wheel-drive) Valhalla to sprint to the three-figure marker from a standstill in 2.5 seconds. The top speed is limited to 350km/h. Speaking of speed, between 240km/h and the latter, ‘in excess of’ 600 kg of downforce is provided by the car’s active aero system, which features DRS.

As this is a plug-in hybrid, the Valhalla also offers stealth driving, with Aston Martin claiming an electric-only driving range of 14km at speeds of up to 140km/h.

The Valhalla is brought to a halt by a carbon-ceramic braking system, which comprises 410mm front and 390mm rear discs, and six-piston fore and four-piston aft callipers, sited behind 20-inch front and 21-inch rear forged alloy wheels, wrapped in 285/30- and 335/30-size Michelin rubber, respectively.
The Valhalla, which tips the scales at a claimed dry weight of 1 655kg when specified with lightweight components, measures 1 161mm in height, 2 208mm in width, 4 727mm in length, and 2 760mm between the fore and aft axles.
