Arctic Trucks empowers Toyota legend
The Toyota Prado is a legend, and this new conversion, the AT37, is set to redefine off-road capability.

Celebrating the 40th anniversary of the Prado’s introduction, Arctic Trucks (AT) unveils the Land Cruiser 250/Prado AT37, a testament to their 30-year partnership with Toyota.
Developed in collaboration with Toyota Africa distributor, CFAO, and leveraging expertise from Motorsport Valley, UK, the AT37 combines Icelandic off-road heritage with innovative engineering.
“Developing this project in the heart of Motorsport Valley has allowed for direct collaboration with suppliers, resulting in significantly improved performance,” said Freyr Þórsson, Arctic Trucks International’s research and development manager.
Arctic Trucks UK’s managing director Peter Smith added: “This collaboration has resulted in a vehicle truly fit for any market, combining our expertise with UK innovation.”
The AT37 seamlessly blends on-road comfort with superior off-road capability, easily tackling rocky trails, snow and sand.

The AT37, named for its 37-inch tyres, will be available with BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO3 or Mud-Terrain T/A KM3 tyre options, mounted on Arctic Trucks’s new ‘Heritage’ forged alloy wheels featuring a dual-valve design for optimal pressure management.
The taller, wider tyres, combined with a bespoke two-way adjustable performance suspension system developed with Dakar-winning specialists R53, provide increased travel and 40mm of lift. R53’s OptiFlow technology ensures optimal damper performance in all conditions.
To accommodate the larger tyres, Arctic Trucks has re-engineered the frame, body and drivetrain, resulting in a wider track and extended wheelbase. This provides surprisingly composed on-road performance while maintaining exceptional off-road capabilities.
Arctic Trucks’s signature wide body flares incorporate a tyre pressure guide, while creating a distinctive appearance. New contoured mud guards seamlessly integrate with the extended bodywork.
Robust extended profile side steps feature an extruded aluminium profile and high-grip rubberised inserts. Distinctive Arctic Trucks black and lava badging and detailing adorn the bodywork, wheels and interior, which features a unique gear selector and dash trims, premium AT interior mats and sill plates.
The discrete 2-inch multifunction receiver hitch enables quick and easy fitment of accessories, further enhancing the AT37’s versatility.

Collaboration and launch
Thomas Cogez, Toyota’s sales and marketing director, CFAO (Africa), said: “By combining Toyota’s engineering excellence with Arctic Trucks’s expertise, we aim to deliver a next-level driving experience that will redefine performance in challenging African terrains.”
The Land Cruiser 250/Prado AT37 will be launched in the second quarter of 2025 as an official dealership-supplied version or direct customer conversion in Europe, North America, the Middle East and Africa.
