Mini Aceman in SA: Pricing and specs

Mini enthusiasts will have two derivatives of the Aceman to choose from, the E and the SE.

This week, the Mini Aceman will make its South African debut. Here’s how much you can expect to pay for the British marque’s first-ever all-electric crossover.

At launch, the local Mini Aceman line-up will comprise two derivatives, the E and the SE, both of which are equipped with a front-mounted single electric motor. The opening gambit to the range, the E model is endowed with 135kW and 290N.m of torque, allowing for a claimed 0-100km/h sprint time of 7.9 seconds and a top speed of 160km/h. The E has a claimed all-electric operating range of up to 310km (WLTP) on a single full charge and an average energy consumption of 14.1kWh/100km.

The SE derivative produces 160kW and 330N.m, which, Mini claims, is good for a 0-100km/h sprint time of 7.1 seconds and a maximum speed of 170km/h. The Aceman SE’s 54.2kWh battery pack offers a claimed emissions-free driving range of up to 406km when fully charged. The SE’s average energy consumption is rated at 13.9kWh/100km.

Mini Aceman price in SA

The Mini Aceman is priced from R800 000 for the E derivative, while the SE variant will set you back R892 000. As standard, the purchase price includes a five-year/100 000km maintenance plan, a two-year/unlimited km vehicle warranty and an eight-year/100 000km battery warranty.
