The Range Rover Sport SV Ultra is the ‘most exquisite interpretation of Range Rover luxury and distinction’, Land Rover says. The latest model in the automaker’s flagship SUV lineup features several bespoke exterior and interior design elements, and ‘world-first’ tech – the latter coming in the shape of ‘pioneering’ audio technology.

Starting with the latter, the Range Rover SV Ultra debuts an Electrostatic Sound system, which, the firm says, transforms the cabin into a ‘concert hall’. The setup features 21 lightweight thin-film transducers, integrated into the headrests and seatbacks, to create ‘personal auditoriums’ for each seat. The audio setup further includes the company’s Body and Soul Seats and Sensory Haptic Floor tech.

The interior is dressed in a two-tone, Orchid White and Cinder Grey hue. The seats feature laser-etched mosaic patterns. The Range Rover Sport SV Ultra is available with a selection of exterior paint options, with Titan Silver exclusive to this model. The exterior features Satin Platinum and Silver Chrome accents. The new model rolls on 23-inch alloy wheels with Platinum Silver inserts.

The Range Rover SV Ultra is priced from R5 729 100. Included with the pricing as standard are a five-year/100 000km maintenance plan and a warranty spanning a similar duration and distance.

The Range Rover SV Ultra employs the British automaker’s P615 powertrain – a 4.4-litre twin-turbocharged V8 petrol producing 452 kW and 750 N.m of torque, the latter available in a broad 1 800-5 400 r/min swathe of the rev band. According to the brand, these figures allow the P615-equipped Range Rover to complete the 0-100 km/h sprint in 4.5 seconds, or 4.3 seconds when engaging Dynamic Launch. The top speed is rated at 261 km/h.
