Famous Leandie launch new book and movie
New movie, Strikdas, featuring TV personality, Leandie Du Randt, screened at Nu Metro.
Nu Metro hosted Leandie Du Randt’s book signing and screening of the new movie Strikdas, in which she acts. The movie will be released in the next few weeks.
Du Randt is a professional actress, presenter, MC, voice artist, model and author of her first book for teenage girls How to be comfortable in your own skin.
She is an energetic, passionate, spontaneous and hardworking individual with an immense appreciation and joy for life. Not only has she featured in quite a number of movies and TV dramas, but she was also the runner-up in the most recent Strictly Come Dancing, and received huge fan support on the show.
Du Randt’s recent book is specifically aimed at teenage girls to help them be the best possible version of themselves. Including exercises, it focuses on alcohol and drug abuse, peer pressure, eating disorders, and body image, as well as personal thoughts, inner self-confidence and spiritual wellness.

The movie Strikdas is about Vossie and Willemien. A synopsis of the story:
“One night, Vossie and his buddies in the Stellenbosch Liberation Front decide to break into the university’s laboratory to free the rats kept for research. Their plans for the evening go awry and Vossie escapes clutching just one rat in his hands. In his attempt to escape security guards, he hides in a bush. When Vossie hears the sound of someone sobbing, he turns to find Willemien, the most beautiful girl he has ever set eyes on. How will Vossie convince Willemien – and the De La Harpe family – that he is the right man for her?”
