Vombola ready for PSL – Rajaonarisamba

Madagascar coach Franck Rajaonarisamba believes that the country’s striker, Sarivahy Vombola, is ready to play in South Africa’s Premier Division after winning the Cosafa Cup Golden Boot.

His goals helped Madagascar win the third-place playoffs thanks to his brace in the 2-1 victory over Botswana at Moruleng Stadium on Saturday.

“Vombola was one of our best players in the tournament,” Rajaonarisamba said through a translator.

“I think that he can make it in the PSL. There are no Madagascans players in the PSL and I think that if he got a contract to one of the teams in South Africa he would bring lots if value.”

Vombola himself admitted that he wouldn’t mind playing in the country. He has attracted interest from Platinum Stars. Dikwena coach Cavin Johnson watched him in the tournament.

“As a football player I would like to go as far as possible in my career, get a professional contract here or in Europe,” he said.

“The PSL is high intensity and it could help me grow as a player. I would like to join a team in South Africa.”
