Google rolls out new homepage interface

Google has started rolling out a redesign of its homepage Thursday as it sets to standardise the way users interact with it across digital platforms.


The revamp features a flattened, reshaped logo (pictured above) as well as a new navigation bar.

A post on the Official Google Search blog  added that new design sought to “streamline” users’ experience across various products and devices. Links to Google products will be found under a new app launcher, located at the top right of the screen.  You can access this by tapping on the “Apps” grid:

But don’t expect everyone to see it at once. The changes are expected to be rolled out to users over the next few weeks.

Google tech lead and manager Eddie Kessler said in the posty, “As part of this design, we’ve also refined the color palette and letter shapes of the Google logo. We’ll be rolling out this update across most Google products over the next few weeks, so keep an eye out and let us know your thoughts.
