Put on your dancing shoes!

Between dances, adults and children alike toasted marshmallows over bonfires and sipped hot cappuccinos.

Fairy lights, hot boerie rolls and the sweet cinnamon fragrance of fresh pancakes greeted party goers at the Project 500 Lang Arm at Burndale on Friday night.

Between dances, adults and children alike toasted marshmallows over bonfires and sipped hot cappuccinos.

Ballito’s Danelle Terblanche and Stella Schroder organised the dance as a Project 500 initiative.

Project 500 is a project of LINC church’s Sisterhood whereby the women are encouraged to be creative and have fun while fulfilling their mandate to see justice come to the earth.

They do this by raising money for Project Dignity which allows underprivileged girls five years of uninterrupted schooling by providing them with panty packs that enable them to continue going to school while they are menstruating. Staying in school ensures their grades are significantly higher, giving them confidence and the ability to finish their schooling.

Terblanche thanked everyone for coming out in support of Project 500, “most especially Guy Milstead for allowing us to use the Burndale venue for free”.
