It’s showtime with Donovan Yaards at Rockwood Theatre

Megastars of Pop is a must for music lovers.

He’s a singer, dancer, choreographer, model, and a dozen other things, talents the multi-faceted Donovan Yaards combines in the show Megastars of Pop, currently running at the Rockwood Theatre at Sibaya.

31-year-old Donovan both hosts the show and performs in it, bringing it all together in a phenomenal way.

Megastars of Pop is a must for music lovers, particularly those that appreciate iconic artists like Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Tina Turner, Pink and Elton John.

Donovan is no stranger to the stage. In 2017 he performed in another tribute show called #Respect, and he’s performed abroad in Turkey at Magic Life Resorts, enthralling international guests with his performances.

“Being on stage as a performer dares me to take on the responsibility of being honest and fearless,” he said.

“The stage is a very sacred place for me. It truly transforms you, the space and the people around it and that is what I love about show business.”

Donovan comes from Kimberley, and studied musical theatre at Tshwane University of Technology.

“It is there that I got to refine my talents and turn them into something professional and marketable,” he said.

If a musical extravaganza is something that sparks your interest, catch Megastars of Pop from 24 July – 4 August.

Tickets cost R99 per person on Wednesday and Thursday evenings. Friday to Sunday tickets cost R130.

On Sundays pensioners will receive 50% discount. Children under 12 can watch the show for free.
