Musical magic at Ballito Rocks
Just under R31 000 was raised for for Shakaskraal SA Primary School.
The sounds of guitars strumming, opera singing and dance music filled the air at Simbithi Country Club on Saturday night.
Ballito resident Gail Stefano put together an evening of musical entertainment featuring local rising stars, all to raise funds to build a new kitchen for Shakaskraal SA Primary School. The kitchen will be used to feed 1388 kids.
Attendees enjoyed a wide range of entertainment, including amateurs and professionals.

One of the highlights of the night was Menzi Mngoma, known as the singing Uber driver, who came from Durban to wow the crowd with his opera singing.
The event was a full house, with 200 tickets sold. A raffle was held as well.

Principal of Shakaskraal SA Primary School, Doctor Ngema, expressed his thanks to those who had contributed. He said the kitchen was essential to the school.
“Gail knows our school in and out and knows our needs,” he said.
Just under R31 000 was raised, said Stefano. Any money left over will go towards building an undercover area for assemblies.
“We made our target so will be chatting to the builder this week to see when we can start,” said Stefano.
