Artist Jane Digby, creating space for reflection
A hymn to her is Digby's reflection on her journey with breast cancer over the past two years.
Contemporary artist Jane Digby’s beautiful oil paintings will be on display at Simbithi Country Club, as part of her special 2-in-1 exhibition.
The exhibition opens on Wednesday, August 28 at 6pm and runs until September 1 at 4pm.
The first part of the exhibition, called If not now, when? features a large collection of about 40 paintings across all subjects – including landscapes, portraits, and abstract painting.

“It is mostly new work, but some of my signature pieces will be on show as well,” Digby said.
A hymn to her is Digby’s reflection on her journey with breast cancer over the past two years.
“It’s a reflective space for people who have been affected by cancer one way or another,” said Digby.

“My aim is really to cause reflection and create dialogue.”
A hymn to her will include the poetry and prose of some of Digby’s friends.

“You can sit down and read something or listen to music that resonated me, it’s a whole experience,” she said. “It will be a gentle space.”
Digby added that she was very excited and has had a great response to the exhibition.
On Thursday, August 29 at 5.30pm well-known life coach Sharon Castle will be hosting a relaxed dialogue on the topic of cancer.
Artist walkabouts will take place each day at 10.30am.
