Bakkie crashes into Spur in Mpumalanga town

A woman was injured when a bakkie crashed into a Spur restaurant in Lydenburg. The incident occurred after closing time.

A Ford Ranger bakkie crashed into the Laramie Spur in Lydenburg last night just after 23:00.

The vehicle crashed into the window panels facing the parking area at the restaurant in Potgieter Street. Dining booths were also damaged in the incident that occurred after closing time.

Another vehicle was damaged and a woman, close to the entrance, sustained minor injuries. She was taken to Lydenburg Hospital.

The Lydenburg SAPS and Thaba Chweu Emergency and Rescue Services were on the scene within minutes, as well as other emergency services. The driver was arrested.
