It has been a tough day at work, dad is working late and the kids are nagging about what is for dinner tonight.
All this after an eight hour shift and some overtime, you’ve still got to brave the traffic and the shops have already closed.
Plus you are in no mood to cook.
Why should you have to when you have numerous alternatives available, all at your fingertips?
A gap in the delivery service market saw George Tshipamba fill a void, now bringing satisfaction to those who would have otherwise had to collect their own meals, or brave the heat of the kitchen in the heart of summer.
A former construction foreman, George worked as a food delivery person for four years before setting his eyes on a bigger goal: starting his own company.
Five years down the line and Dolphin Coast Deliveries is leading the pack as the fastest-growing delivery service for take-out meals on the North Coast and you can have it all, including junk.
George says he is more than happy with how fast his business is growing.
With deliveries being done in Sheffield, Seatides, Shakaskraal and Ballito, hungry clients who prefer having their take-out at home could want for nothing more.
George is buying a number of new bikes which will not only improve the speed at which deliveries are done but, will also see them expand their service area.
“I started this company as the only delivery person. We now have nine people doing deliveries,” said George, adding that they will soon include Palm Lakes and Tinley Manor.
George is pleased to announce a new cellphone app, DC Dolphin Coast Food Delivery, which is available for download on Google Play and will soon be available on iPhone app stores, bringing convenience to people in an age where ‘work, home, work’ has become the norm.
“It’s all about staying connected to your clients,” said George.
Although the app will simplify the ordering process, some customers still prefer dealing with humans. George is clued up on providing people with suggestions as to where they can enjoy a meal made for their taste buds.
“If you want something specific, we know all the restaurants in the area. We can advise you on any allergy or dietary concerns you may have.”
Further setting the trend, the delivery service boasts some of the most competitive rates.
