Schools are closed, but learning hasn’t stopped at Curro Mount Richmore
With strong family-values central, you can rest assured knowing that Curro always has your child's best interest at heart.
The Remote Learning Program on offer at Curro Mount Richmore will ensure that no child gets left behind.
In the wake of the Education department delaying school opening until February 15, the Salt Rock school says this would not mean an end to learning, and education is what they intend to continue providing.
With strong family-values central, you can rest assured knowing that Curro always has your child’s best interest at heart.
Families of Curro and it’s surrounding community are being reminded of the advanced remote learning capabilities the school offers.
Curro Mount Richmore Executive Headmaster, Mr Bryn Thomas said the school would not be faced with a roadblock, but rather an opportunity for growth.
“Since our return in 2021, we have seen clear indications of the confidence shown by our parents and families in our priority and ability to safeguard the health of all our children and staff.”
However, from this Monday, January 18, Curro will return to remote learning in a number of their grades.
“We want to ensure that no child gets left behind and that we proceed with the timeous and comprehensive delivery of our curriculum,” said Mr Thomas.
What this means for our families:

- Our teachers will be here to help children settle back into remote learning.
- Should our learners or parents find themselves concerned or facing any difficulties, we invite them to set up an appointment with their teacher. Appointments are set up with thier child/ren’s teacher directly.
- Attendance of all Remote Learning Classes are mandatory
- Should technical difficulties be experienced, our IT department is readily available to assist.
Curro Castle:

Parents can rest easy knowing that our Early Childhood Development centre falls under the social development department, and not the education department.
As such, in an effort to aid parents, Curro Castle will remain open and Groups 1 to 5 are encouraged to continue as normal.
Sport:
All extra-mural activities have been postponed, club sport however will continue as normal.
“Curro sees the profound effect on our families. We want them to know, at all times, we remain committed to the well-being of our learners – your children, as well as ours – balanced with a strong desire to maintain their educational progress, securing their future,” said Mr Thomas.
Enrollment
Enrollment remains open and Curro is excited to welcome new children.

School Psychologist
Curro Mount Richmore would like to take this opportunity to share yet another wing of growth as they welcome Mr Jarryd Byron to their valuable team of staff as the in-house School Psychologist who is provided as a value-add to the children and staff.
“Mr Byron is available to all our families for all their counseling needs.” said Mr Thomas.
