Destiny Life Academy firmly on growth path

Founded 12 years ago as a private Christian high school with a mandate to offer educational excellence at affordable fees, Destiny Life Academy is constantly on a growth path and going from strength to strength.

Despite the exceptional difficulties the Covid-19 pandemic presented to students throughout 2021, Destiny Life Academy learners have once again shown their determination to succeed.

Small classes and an innovative approach to education assisted the class of 2021 to overcome the challenges of intermittent on-line learning during the past two years, enabling them to still embrace success.

Boasting distinctions in Afrikaans, English, Life Orientation and Visual Arts, Destiny Life Academy is exceptionally proud of the efforts and dedication of its learners and teachers alike.

The school believes this determination and the skills acquired over the last two years will hold their students in good stead as they venture into tertiary education.

In 2021, IsiZulu first additional language was offered as a subject for the first time, and academy management is presently exploring partnerships between invested parents, passionate teachers and the community to ensure proactive and innovative progress as they groom the next generation to be all that God has created them to be.

Thandeka Luthuli

She balances the challenge of teaching a theoretical and a practical subject with great skill and natural flair.

Her dedication to the learners of Destiny Life Academy allows her to draw out the individual talents of each learner for them to grow in self-confidence and mature as aspiring actors and actresses.

The small classes at Destiny Life Academy lend themselves to individual, specialised attention, which compliment her teaching style.

The academy believes that self-expression and creativity are key ingredients needed by all people to live a satisfying and full life. It is for this reason the school is delighted with the ongoing development of the Dramatic Arts Department.

“I want my students to smile when they think of me. As an educator, I think back and reflect on the teachers who made a difference in my life, who pushed me to do my best and were influential enough to make me believe I could achieve anything,” said Luthuli.
