Expert ENT care with Dr Niven Singh

Dr Singh recently returned to KZN after three years abroad.

Ear, nose and throat specialist Dr Niven Singh brings two decades of professional clinical experience to his newfound Ballito community.

Dr Singh recently opened consulting rooms at Ribumed Medical Centre after returning from three years abroad in New Zealand. Originally from Durban, he qualified at the Nelson Mandela School of Medicine in 2005 and remained in the ENT department for three years before moving into private practice.

Dr Singh particularly enjoys working in paediatrics, but offers expert care to anyone suffering from relevant disorders.

“ENT doctors work with hearing, breathing, speech and swallowing, which are so crucial to the way we live,” said Dr Singh.

“It is very gratifying to be able to return one of those these functions to a patient, particularly when it is a child. One has to work closely with parents when treating a child.”

Dr Singh’s scope includes the diagnosis and treatment of sinus conditions, ear infections, hearing concerns, throat disorders, allergies, and a wide range of routine and complex ENT conditions. He has a particular interest in sinus surgery.

“I enjoy the balance between general surgery and microscopic surgery that the ENT specialty offers,” he said.

“We often work in very confined spaces which requires advanced equipment.”

As a member of the ENT Society of South Africa, he remains actively engaged in ongoing professional development, ensuring his practice reflects the latest advances in evidence-based ENT care.

You can find Dr Singh’s rooms at Suite 7, Ribumed Medical Centre. For more information contact 032 002 0072 or ballitoent@gmail.com.
