Arcis to launch Ballito EDGE with groundbreaking hybrid sales event on KwaZulu-Natal’s North Coast

The first 20 buyers on launch day will receive a R50 000 discount.

Arcis Property Development is set to unveil its latest residential estate, Ballito EDGE, with a hybrid launch event at the North Point precinct on Saturday, April 11.

The event will combine an in-person showcase at the newly completed showroom with a live-streamed broadcast, allowing buyers and investors from across the country to participate in real time.

In a first for the developer, all property sales on launch day will be conducted online, even for attendees present at the venue. The move reflects changing buyer behaviour and the growing role of digital platforms in South Africa’s property market.

Sales and marketing director Andrea Santoriello said the approach aligns with increasing demand for more accessible and efficient purchasing options.

“We are seeing a shift in the market, with buyers more open to purchasing property online. This launch is designed to meet those expectations while offering an engaging experience,” he said.

The event, hosted by media personality Vanessa Marawa, will feature live entertainment, interviews and real-time updates, creating an interactive experience for both physical and online audiences.

Strong demand has already been recorded ahead of the official launch, with over 40 sales already secured to date. The development will ultimately include 244 apartments across five phases.

Ballito EDGE is Arcis’ fourth development on the North Coast, following Ballito Village, Ballito Life and Woodlands Estate.

Located within the expanding North Point Business Park, the estate offers one- to four-bedroom apartments, with prices starting from R1,109,000. Transfer and legal costs are included in the purchase price.

The development is designed to cater to modern lifestyles, featuring a clubhouse with full restaurant, co-working spaces, a gym, walking trails, a multi-sport court, various parks and green spaces scattered in the estate, as well as being pet-friendly.

It will also follow EDGE-certified green building standards, aimed at improving energy and water efficiency.

Santoriello said the fully digital sales process is expected to attract buyers beyond KwaZulu-Natal.

“By enabling online purchasing during a live event, we are removing geographic barriers and creating a more inclusive buying experience,” he said.

The first 20 buyers on launch day will receive a R50,000 discount, and there will be other giveaways on the day.

With projected rental yields between 11.8% and 12.5%, the development is already drawing interest from investors looking to tap into the growing North Coast property market.

As Ballito continues to expand within the Durban and Ballito corridor, the launch of Ballito EDGE highlights a broader shift in how residential developments are marketed and sold.
