The weekend's crime round up from Umhlali SAPS.

The following crimes were attended to by Umhlali SAPS over the weekend:
∙ A car window was smashed and a handbag was stolen out of a car in Ballito on Sunday morning.
∙ A driver was arrested on Sunday afternoon after trying to steal 40 loaves of bread from his delivery van.
∙ House breaking on Saturday night on Ocean Drive. A laptop was stolen.
∙ Housebreaking in Salt Rock on Saturday morning. A playstation and a television were stolen while the resident was sleeping.
∙ Housebreaking in Velani on Saturday morning.
∙  Cables were stolen from a business in Umhlali early on Saturday morning.
∙  On Saturday morning a man was stabbed in his home allegedly by an ex-girlfriend in Shakashead.
∙  A woman claimed that her car was broken into while she was shopping at the Lifestyle Centre on Friday morning. Clothes and a laptop were stolen.
∙  A resident at the Beach Combers in Ballito woke up early on Friday morning to find that his house had been broken into. R38 500 worth of goods were missing.
∙  A computer was stolen from Hops restaurant on Friday morning. A sliding window was found open.
∙  An iPhone and a modem were stolen from a house on Dunkirk Road early on Friday morning. A window was smashed to gain entry.
∙  Two robbers held up a man a knife point at his tuckshop in Shakashead on Friday. A woman was allegedly an accomplice. R2800 was stolen.
Umhlali SAPS urges North Coast residents not to leave valuable items in their vehicles after a number of thefts out of vehicles in the past few weeks.
