A 15-year-old boy from Etete township was arrested on Thursday, May 12 for allegedly raping two girls, both under the age of ten.
Umhlali cluster community policing forum chairperson, Bongumusa Mkhize said the children are about seven years old.
One is the boy’s step-cousin and the other, his neighbour.
“Teachers noticed a strange behaviour from the child and they called her mother. The child was interviewed and she finally spoke out. When the boy was arrested, the second child complained about a pain in her private parts and finally confessed that the boy had raped her,” said Mkhize.
The young teenager appeared at Umhlali Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday.
