An early morning stake-out operation resulted in the arrest of three ‘fence hoppers’ on Saturday.
While investigating problem areas in Ballito, Enforce Security was notified of suspicious activity at Seaward Estate and immediately responded.
A resident of the estate had notified security of three men jumping from property to property.
The chase was on as the estate security, Enforce Security and Marshall Security, later joined by IPSS Security, tried to track down the men.
According to the estate’s security manager Steven Gomes, one of the men tried to attack a resident, before her husband intervened.
After three hours, the first man eventually handed himself in, and assisted with information leading to the whereabouts of the second man.
After hours of chasing, all three suspects, who are allegedly part of a syndicate targeting homes in Ballito and Salt Rock, were eventually caught and handed over to Umhlali SAPS.
Enforce is investigating their involvement in other crimes in the area.
All Ballito community members are urged to come forward with any incidents that occurred on Friday night / Saturday morning.
