A shoplifter’s attempt to rob a store at the Ballito Junction Mall went south on Saturday after he was caught and arrested while trying to make a run for it.
According to mall management, a visitor to the mall was seen shoplifting in Game.
“When security chased him, he jumped over a glass balustrade in the centre trying to escape.
“He was however caught and arrested.”
According to eyewitnesses, the man dropped to the floor below after the glass panel he was holding on to gave way.
Surprisingly he managed to get up and head towards the exit where he was caught.
