Two men stabbed during attempted robbery in Ballito

A taxi driver saw the thieves accost their victims and fired a shot, injuring one of them

Two men were stabbed during an attempted robbery while walking to a Ballito shopping centre earlier this evening.

According to Umhlali SAPS spokesperson captain Vinny Pillay, the two men were walking to the shops in downtown Ballito when they were approached by two drunk men who tried to rob them.

“Both men were stabbed.

“A taxi driver saw the incident and fired a shot, injuring one of the thieves on his lower body.

Members of the public then assaulted them.”

All four men were taken to hospital.
