A foreign national from Melville outside KwaDukuza was held at gunpoint and robbed in the early hours of Monday morning.
The man was awakened by the sound of men cutting away at his corrugated iron house.
Three men then jumped down into the house from the roof and forced him to open his tuck shop before taking R3 500 in groceries, airtime, vending machines and a cellphone.

“A case of armed robbery was opened at KwaDukuza SAPS and police are investigating,” said Ilembe cluster SAPS spokesperson constable Sibusiso Khuzwayo.
He further warned all shop owners not to keep a large amount of money in their houses or shops.
He said as the festive season just begin, criminals will be targeting all businesses, therefore business owners must be on high alert.
