Police festive season operations resulted in two men arrested for being in possession of illegal guns and drugs in Dokodweni and Obanjeni area, near Gingindlovu last week Monday.
A 32-year-old man was arrested in Dokodweni when he was found with two unlicensed firearms and ammunition and a 31-year-old man was also arrested for being in possession of 56 packets of loose dagga and mandrax.

Both have appeared in the Gingindhlovu magistrates’ court.
“Three more unlicensed firearms were also found by the police during the operation. The recovered firearms will be subjected to ballistic testing to check if they were used in any crimes in the country,” said provincial SAPS lieutenant colonel Thulani Zwane.
