
A 39-year-old man has been sentenced to 25 years in prison for four separate cases of armed robbery in Glendale.
Sentencing took place at the KwaDukuza Magistrate Court.
Muzi Tanami Nkosi and his friend broke into four houses in Nsikeni, Glendale last October.

They held the residents at gunpoint and took their cell phones, money and electronic appliances.
Nkosi was later arrested at Masomonco area, Mandeni and was found in possession of 13 cellphones, that he could not account for, and two pistols with serial numbers filed off.
“He was then detained at Nyoni SAPS for illegal possession of firearms and ammunition. The investigation continued and he was then transferred to Glendale Police Station for four counts of armed robbery. He will serve his sentence concurrently and he was declared unfit to possess a firearm. He was taken to Westville prison,” said Ilembe cluster SAPS spokesperson Sibusiso Khuzwayo.
