Umhlali police kicked off their festive season operations with a bang, arresting six murder suspects and a gang of suspected house robbers in one night.
In the early hours of this morning the six men suspected of murder, as well as a group of men accused of targeting homes in the greater Ballito/ Salt Rock area, were put in irons.

The arrests took place in Shayamoya, Nkobongo and Shakaskraal.
Umhlali SAPS spokesperson Vinny Pillay said the SAPS team were on high alert during the festive season.
“We want to ensure that everyone living and visiting our operating areas is safe.
“We would like to thank everyone for their support, especially private security companies that often work with us.“It is always good to have the community working together and supporting the police.”
