A 30- year-old man was arrested after he was found with drugs in a building on Russell Street in KwaDukuza yesterday (Thursday).
The man was found in possession of rock cocaine, methcathin, digital scale as well as cocaine powder to the street value of R11 200.
“The Provincial Drug Task Team was conducting their crime prevention duties as part of their safer festive season operations to curb drugs in the area and reducing drug-related cases during the holidays,” said Ilembe SAPS cluster spokesperson, constable Sibusiso Khuzwayo.

While patrolling, they followed up on information about a man who was allegedly dealing drugs in a building in town.
The building was searched and police also found R1 500 suspected to be the proceeds of the drugs.
The man was charged for possession of drugs and will appear in the KwaDukuza Magistrates’ Court today (Friday).
