Old man killed for his wife’s wedding ring – Stanger

Robbers entered the couple's home in Stanger Manor last night.

A 76-year-old man was stabbed and killed in his home in Stanger Manor last night.

According to KwaDukuza police spokesperson, Sibusiso Khuzwayo, Jayaganum Venketsamy was sitting with his wife when two men entered the house.

“They stabbed him in his chest and took his wife’s wedding ring, valued at R20 000.

“Police are still investigating and no one has been arrested.”

A case of murder and armed robbery was opened at KwaDukuza police station.
