Four minute gang clean out Ballito business

The crooks loaded their first batch of stolen goods in the first minute.

In just four minutes, a gang of about five people cleaned out Titeforce in the Ballito based business park Laguna Seca on Human Rights Day.

Titeforce owner Allen Mayer said the gang, who are believed to drive a white Ford Ranger with tinted windows, broke into the business at midday.

“They entered our reception at 12.45pm, which set off the alarm. Within ten seconds, there were upstairs in the offices. They came downstairs with their first load after 50 seconds. By 12.49pm, they exited,” said Mayer, who has had his company in Laguna Seca for six years and has never had a break-in before.

“They took seven computers, four laptops, one cellphone and the spare keys for a vehicle. They broke our wall-mounted television in the process of trying to get it off the wall.”

He said he believed the burglary was planned.

“We have recently had continuous alarm activations in the zone that the burglars came through. I believe they had been testing how long it took security to arrive.”

The burglary has been reported to Umhlali SAPS for further investigation.
