A guard was held up at gunpoint and 28 sheep were stolen at KwaJustice Livestock Farm near Doesburg Road in KwaDukuza yesterday.

According to KwaDukuza police spokesperson Constable Sibusiso Khuzwayo, two men armed with pistols held the security guard hostage while two bakkies with canopies drove in.

“They loaded 28 sheep into the bakkies and fled. After a while, about ten men arrived on foot with a bolt cutter and a grinder. They started to cut into the wall. Apparently, the neighbouring business phoned the owner who called the security company,” said Khuzwayo.
