Elderly Tongaat man fatally stabbed by intruders

Police are investigating a case of house robbery, murder and attempted murder.

An elderly man was stabbed to death and his wife seriously injured in their home at Chemsford Heights in Tongaat yesterday.

According to KZN police spokesperson captain Nqobile Gwala, two people entered the house and demanded money.

“They took cash and stabbed and killed the 82-year-old man.

“His wife also sustained a stab wound and was taken to hospital,” said Gwala.

Police are investigating a case of house robbery, murder and attempted murder.
