Mother and daughter shot dead – Tongaat 

The women were shot multiple times.

A mother and daughter were killed in their home near Fairbreeze in Tongaat this morning.

According to a source within the South African Police Services, the double murder took place in the Mugwaveni township.

It is alleged that the two women were shot by the daughter’s boyfriend who worked as a security guard.

IPSS Medical Rescue’s Paul Herbst said the mother, who was in her 50’s, and the daughter, in her early 20’s, were shot multiple times.

“It is alleged the daughter’s boyfriend had arrived at the house and an argument ensued.

“It is further alleged that the boyfriend shot the girl and her mother before fleeing.”
