Primary school staff held at gunpoint – Darnall

Two men escaped with an undisclosed amount of money.

Staff of Bongimfundo Primary School in Darnall were held-up at gunpoint and the principal was tazered with an electric stun-gun by two men on Monday morning.

The two female staff was apparently counting money in the principal’s office when the two men walked in.

They pretended to be selling tracksuits and when the principal asked questions about the company they were claiming to be from.

They pulled out guns and one of them incapacitated him with a stun-gun before escaping with an undisclosed amount of money.

“Police are investigating a case of armed robbery and we are confident that we will make an arrest soon,” said KwaDukuza police spokesperson, constable Sbusiso Khuzwayo.
