Grandmother shot for her car – Shakaskraal

The thieves ran off after shooting the woman in her arm.

A 63-year-old Shakaskraal woman was shot in her arm and her granddaughter was assaulted in a failed attempt to steal the older woman’s car last night.

According to IPSS Medical Rescue spokesperson, Paul Herbst, the woman was with her 18-year-old granddaughter when they were approached by three men.

“They were standing near their car when the men demanded their vehicle.

“Despite not resisting one of the men shot the woman before running away,” said Herbst.
