
Police are on the hunt for eight armed men who robbed a liquor store in Ballito in the early hours of this morning.
Umhlali SAPS spokesperson Captain Vinny Pillay said the break-in happened at 4.30am at the Lifestyle Centre in Ballito.
According to Pillay the eight armed robbers held up the security guard at gunpoint and broke into the store, stealing about R250 000 worth in liquor.
The men fled in two Toyota Corolla vehicles, one blue and one white and headed to the N2.
Police have urged residents to keep a lookout for the thieves and if spotted should call the police.
No injuries were reported.
