“I will never stop searching,” Ballito mom says as Hawks pick up 9-year-old murder case

Craig Hall's mother, Rose, who still lives in Ballito said the family have never had closure and that they needed to know the truth of what happened.

Investigations into the murder of a Ballito resident 9 years ago are being resumed afresh.

The murder of 21-year-old Craig Hall, who was murdered during a botched car sale, was never solved.

Now the Durban Hawks are again appealing for witnesses to come forward.

The case was transferred to the Hawks for investigation in 2013.

Hall, whose body was found with 2 bullet wounds to the head on July 7, 2012, was a personal trainer at the Lockeroom gym at The Circle in Ballito.

He was last seen getting into a white bakkie near the Shell garage in Ballito on July 4.

His body was found 3 days later near the old Greenfields Service Station site.

Hall’s mother, Rose, who still lives in Ballito said the family have never had closure and that they needed to know the truth of what happened.

“As long as I am alive I will never stop searching,” she said.

It was reported that Hall – with the aid of a friend – had planned to reclaim R50 000 from a second-hand car deal gone wrong after payment.

The car which Hall had bought was impounded after it was discovered to be a stolen vehicle.
