Dagga worth over a million discovered in transit at Mvoti Toll Gate

The alleged drug mules were using a Nissan Hardbody being towed on a trailer by a Fortuner to conceal the load of dagga.

Two people have been arrested after they were caught transporting dagga to the value of R1.2-million on Sunday, June 26.

KwaDukuza Saps spokesperson, constable Siphesihle Myeni, said police supported by security companies were notified about a Nissan Hardbody being towed on a trailer by a Fortuner.

The suspects were followed and monitored by unmarked vehicles and then stopped on the N2 southbound lane close to the Mvoti Toll Gate.

The two suspects were detained at the KwaDukuza police station and were due to appear in the Kwadukuza Magistrate Court last week.
