The following cases were attended to by Umhlali SAPS between Monday, October 7 and Friday, October 4:
In Shakashead, a man sexually assaulted a child at his friends house after he asked to stay the night at their house on Monday. He was arrested.
A man impersonating a police officer was arrested on Sunday evening in Etete. He claimed to be a member of the crime intelligence unit.
Electronics were stolen from a home on Sandra Road in Ballito on late Sunday evening. The goods were worth R52 000.
A woman was found badly beaten near Driefontein on Saturday afternoon. She had been assaulted with a golf club. An arrest was made.
Robbers held a woman at gunpoint on Saturday evening at her home in Shayamoya. They made off with her cellphone, cigarettes, airtime and cash.
A man was assaulted and robbed in his home in Nkobongo on Saturday by three men over a dispute over a woman.
A teenage girl was assaulted on Friday evening by a man in Etete while she and her mother were getting water.
A group of men robbed a man while he was walking along the R102 on Friday.
A VW velocity was stolen on Compensation Beach road on Friday afternoon. It was later recovered in KwaMashu.
Umhlali SAPS arrested two people for possession of marijuana, six for selling liquor without a licence, 19 for drinking in public, one for traffic violations, two for reckless driving, one for possession of stolen goods, one for possession of a dangerous weapon and one for selling fake dvds.
