A woman was robbed at knife point on Sheffield drive.

The following crimes were attended to by Umhlali SAPS over the weekend:
While walking home on Sheffield drive on Saturday evening, a woman was robbed at knife point. Bank cards, a cellphone and clothes to the value of R8000 were stolen.
A police officer was hospitalised after stopping to attend a collision on N2 on-ramp on Saturday evening. A Nissan NP200 bakkie collided with the officer’s squad car, injuring him. He was taken to Alberlito hospital for treatment.
A VW polo was stolen outside of a house on Murray Crescent on Friday evening. The owner claimed he had parked the car on the street and locked the car.
A Toyota Hilux was stolen on Compensation Beach road on Friday night.
Six cellphones and a garmin GPS were stolen out of a car in Rock Lane on Friday afternoon.
A woman was arrested for using fraudulent details to purchase an S3 Mini cellphone at the Lifesyle Edgars on Friday. An employee at head office noticed the woman was using the wrong details to buy the items.
A house in Shayamoya was broken into while the owner was at work on Friday. A radio, PC screen and cellphone were stolen, valued at R3200.
A phone was allegedly snatched from a man’s hand while he was making a call while sitting in his car outside Mangas shop in Shakaskraal on Friday evening. A suspect was arrested.
Police arrested a man in Nkobongo on Friday evening in possession of an unlicensed firearm. He was wanted in connection with a case at Umhlali SAPS and at KwaDukuza SAPS.
Two men were sitting outside their house in Etete when a man in a car pulled up. He asked them if they were renting out their house. After being told that they were not, the man allegedly got out of his car, held them up at gunpoint and robbed them. The police have identified a suspect.
Late on Friday night a man was attacked by another man at his home in Etete. The suspect poured what is thought to be acid on the victim. The man was taken to hospital.
Police arrested 28 people for drinking in public, one for selling liquor without a license, one for road traffic violations, three for possession of marijuana and one for possession of a dangerous weapon.
