The winners of the Bob’s Bootcamp 12 week ‘Take It Off ‘ challenge will spend their winnings on a new wardrobe because their old clothes are now a few sizes too big.
Winning lady Annara Dougherty walked away with R3 000 cash, a night at Rain Farm and Lodge, including a game drive, dinner, bed, game walk and breakfast for two.
She lost eight kilograms, 14 centimetres around her belly button, nine centimetres from her hips and 10 centimetres off her upper quad; and 7.4% of her total body fat.
Simon Peacock took home R2000 cash and a R1000 Hirsch’s shopping voucher.
He shed five kilograms, eight centimetres off his waist and 6% of his total body fat.
At the awards dinner last Thursday Bootcamp coach Bob Russel said he was proud of each person who had participated.
“My motto is ‘change your habits, change your life’ and you have all gone a long way towards achieving your goals.”
Surprise guest world cup winning Springbok flyhalf Andrew ‘Butch’ James was there to give out the prizes.
Bob was the sports massage therapist to the Sharks for 14 years and has been running the bootcamp at Umhlali Preparatory School field for the past eight years.
He originally started his boot camp in Durban North in 2003, after a spate of attacks on women in Durban.
“I wanted a safe place for woman to train and get fit. It soon filled right up.”
From next year he will be running the business full time. In anticipation of this Bob launched an additional class, his first Yummy Mummy bootcamp class last month from 7.45am; for mothers who have just dropped thier children at school.
Bob is already planning his next weight loss challenge for the New Year to help you shed the Christmas pudding.
