The Christmas Fair Fund hosted a classy bridge morning at Braeside Weddings and Functions on Wednesday.
Ladies and even a few gentleman came from as far as Durban and Empangeni to support the event, which raised more than R18 000.
The Christmas Fair Fund has been assisting disadvantaged communities through various fund raising initiatives for the past 62 years. The bridge morning has become an annual tradition and one of the “must-attend” social functions on the North Coast.
The grand prize of a sponsored two-night stay at Zimbali Forest Suites was first won by Jan Manley, who graciously called for a redraw as she is a Zimbali resident.
Jo MacLachlan walked away with the prize.
Chairlady Michelle Blake thanked all those who made the event a success.
“ We have to thank our local business community and bridge players from far and wide who helped make this such a worthwhile event. We are also extremely grateful to Braeside for allowing us the use of their beautiful venue free of charge.”
