The Spring Break Party at Beach Bums this Saturday combines fun and charity.
The Voyage Events and Marketing Solutions, one of the sponsors of the Miss Ballito Pageant, in conjunction with Beach Bums, Simply Models and Light Media are hosting this event in aid of the North Coast Courier Orphan Fund.
“Inspiration for this charity campaign came about after we attended the Miss Ballito cocktail evening. We saw the scale of the event and how many people get involved to help their community. I realised that we have a lot at our disposal to string together a great fund raising initiative. I immediately got to work and the response was phenomenal. We are just a group of friends coming together to try make a difference,” said Voyage owner Willem Shoeman.
Models from Simply Models will be strutting their stuff in the new Beach Bum bikini range, set to launch soon.
The models recently participated in a Beach Bums bikini photo shoot and the prints will be auctioned off at the fashion show to raise money.
The images will also be used in an online campaign, on The Voyage Events and Marketing Facebook page, where the models have been given the task of gaining as many ‘likes’ as possible and the image and model with the most ‘likes’ will receive a R1000 contribution from Beach Bums to be given to the Orphan Fund.
A 2015 Beach Bums calender will then be compiled from these photographs again with all proceeds going towards the Orphan Fund. There will be space for sponsors to advertise in the calendar raising more money for the fund.
The team aims to raise at least R10 000 for the Orphan Fund on Saturday. Tickets for under 25s cost R80 with over 25s getting in for free.
