In preparation for the 2016 local government elections, the African Christian Democratic Party (ACDP) embarked on a campaign to recruit and train suitable candidates.
They held a “How to start an ACDP branch” workshop in Ballito last Friday evening, which was hosted by the local ACDP branches under councillor Nel Sewraj.
More than 30 church leaders attended most of them coming from the Ethekwini municipality.
Local ACDP elections manager, Pastor Michelle Sewraj provided comprehensive insight into the various dynamics involved in launching an ACDP branch in her presentations.
Discussions facilitated by ACDP provincial executive member, Cllr Nel Sewraj, provided clarity about various challenges experienced in starting a political branch.
Similar workshops are planned in areas such as Stanger in the near future.
Selection of recruiters is at the discretion of the party and subsequent to candidate screening.
Interested persons may contact Pastor Michelle on 0762168687 and 0845890458 or Pastor Desiree on 0837718498 for more information.
