Man arrested for Valentine’s murder

Man arrested for allegedly killing his girlfriend.

A 32-year-old man was arrested in a joint operation by KwaDukuza Crime Intelligence, Nyoni SAPS detectives and Umhlali K9 on February 18 in Ntuzuma and charged with murder.

The man was arrested in connection with the death of a 35-year-old woman who was killed allegedly by her boyfriend on Valentine’s Day and buried in a shallow grave in the sugarcane field at Ndulinde area near Mandeni.

KwaZulu-Natal provincial commissioner, lieutenant general Mmamonnye Ngobeni commended the excellent work of the police.

“It is sad to hear that a young girl lost her life in such a manner and we will not tolerate those who abuse women and children in our country,” she said.
