Boy drowns in Umvoti River

Young boy goes for a swim in the Umvoti River and drowns.

The body of a 14-year-old male has been recovered in the Umvoti River this morning.

IPSS Medical Rescue and Police Search and Rescue responded last night after reports of a drowning in the river.

Janus van Schalkwyk from IPSS Medical Rescue said the body of the boy was recovered this morning and police are investigatong the incident.
