A serious accident between two vehicles left three injured.
There was a head-on collision on the road between Mandeni and Isithebe on Thursday afternoon.
Three people were injured in the accident when a Toyota Fortuner and red Hilux crashed.
A goat was tied to the back of the red bakkie, but paramedic Paul Herbst said the animal fortunately escaped uninjured.
IPSS Medical Rescue treated the driver of the Fortuner who was in a serious condition and was transported to hospital.
“The two patients from the Hilux were in a critical condition and were stabilised by IPSS Medical Rescue advanced life support,” said Herbst.
“We would just like to thank the Mandeni fire department for their assistance and quick response.”
