Police launch manhunt after Mandeni farm attack

Police searching for three suspects.

KZN police have launched a manhunt for three suspects after two brothers were attacked on a farm in Inyoni, near Mandeni on Tuesday evening.

Provincial police spokesperson Colonel Jay Naicker said three unknown gunmen armed with assault rifles entered the farm and opened fire on both men.

Peter Johnson (56) died on the scene and Ian Johnson (54) was critically injured and taken to Victoria hospital.

The suspects stole two rifles from the premises before fleeing.

Naicker said Inyoni police are investigating a case of murder, attempted murder and robbery.
